2011 Carleen DelGreco
17-year old Carleen is a senior at Pelham High School and has been a student at Dance Concepts for 14 years studying ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop. She is a passionate dancer and strives to inspire her fellow classmates through her drive and dedication. She is a teacher's assistant and serves as a role model for the younger members of her studio. Carleen hopes to make a difference in other people's lives through the art of dance.
2010 Haley Flynn
10-year old Haley of Lowell, MA is a dedicated student of Barbara's Academy of Dance, where she has studied ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical and hip hop for the past 9 1/2 years. Amazingly, Haley has had perfect attendance every year since her first dance class and is recognized for going above and beyond in everything she does. According to Haley, "When people smile the world is a better place, so I dance to make people happy."
2009  Maggie Sabella
12-year old Maggie studies ballet, tap, jazz, modern, lyrical, hip hop and musical theater at Precision Dance Club of Wilmington, MA. She is also a member of her studio’s competitive dance team and in July, 2009 earned the title “National Junior Miss Dance Ovations.” In the words of Maggie’s instructors, “Dance is Maggie’s language, and everyone who sees her perform will be touched by her gift.”
2008 Brenna Conway
8-year old Brenna, of Pelham, NH, is the first recipient of the Downtown Dancewear Scholarship Fund! She studies ballet, tap, and jazz at Dance Concepts and is also a member of her studio’s competitive dance team. Not only does she bring dance into her everyday life, but she also actively volunteers to bring dance into the lives of other children in her community. |
